Activities

In Brief

Provincial Planning Secretariat of the Southern Provincial Council functions as the heart of the provincial planning process. Planning Secretariat of the Southern Province of Sri Lanka responsible for overall planning, monitoring and progress review of development projects and programmes performed by the Ministries and Departments at sub-national level. Furthermore it involves maintaining and coordinating the provincial progress monitoring system. Also the Secretariat plays a crucial role when it comes to Public Private Partnerships (PPP).
The Provincial Planning Secretariat also takes the leadership role in eliminating the inequality in resource distribution in the province to ensure the equitable access to resources to all of the Southern Province Province’s population.
